We design tech for women by women

We exist to improve the lives of women through the creation and responsible use of technology. We are a team of medical doctors, coders, entrepreneurs, and designers who are passionate about developing femtech solutions that empower women and improve their health and well-being.

The needs are universal, at global scale

The femtech industry, which focuses on creating technology-driven solutions to address women's health needs, is gaining traction due to increasing awareness and demand for women-centric healthcare products and services.

Several factors contribute to the positive outlook of the femtech market, including advancements in wearable devices, mobile apps, telemedicine, and digital health platforms tailored to women's reproductive health, fertility tracking, menstrual health, and menopause management.

The target group is half of the world’s population, and they are leaning in; becoming more aware of their health situations, demanding better solutions.

Over 80% of femtech founders are women. This particular field is set to be worth $1 trillion by 2027, and attracts women from all sectors to become entrepreneurs, and engage in the tech industry.

DAYA's company identity is founded on the scientific theory of mitochondrial Eve and her seven daughters - a theory that proposes a single female ancestor as the common ancestor of all contemporary humans based on their mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) lineages.

DAYA is our modern creation of Eve. It reflects who we are: a mission-driven organization built on profit synergies, supported by a unique innovation ecosystem operating at the forefront of data science, design, engineering, research, and healthcare.

The Female Origin

Coding it differently

At DAYA we promote the practice of humane technology and responsible tech practices. We believe that the ethical and societal challenges posed by modern technology, such as the spread of misinformation, data privacy concerns, algorithmic bias, and the potential for addiction and mental health issues associated with digital platforms - are real.

Our work is inspired by principles such as

  • User-Centered Design: Prioritizing the needs, well-being, and values of users in technology development.

  • Ethical Decision-Making: Making ethical choices in designing, deploying, and using technology.

  • Transparency: Providing clear information about how technology works, what data it collects, and how it impacts users.

  • Accountability: Holding tech companies and developers accountable for the consequences of their products.

  • Sustainability: Ensuring that technology is developed and used in a way that is sustainable for the environment and society as a whole.
